Subacute Transitional Unit Offers Patient-Centered Care
The Brentwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a member of Marquis Health Services, utilizes a team approach to patient care that combines technology with the latest medical advancements. Taking patients’ emotional and physical well-being into account, The Brentwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Danvers, Massachusetts, is a leading provider of nursing care and subacute rehabilitation.
The subacute transitional unit at The Brentwood is designed to attend to the specific needs of patients who require intense rehabilitation after a stay in the hospital. Subacute medical director Dr. Vivienne Yumasi leads a team of goal-oriented subacute specialists who cultivate close relationships with patients and welcome the input of patients and their families during the recovery process.
Recovery also takes on a collaborative form as teams work with patients to achieve an optimal functionality and help patients return home as soon as possible. The newly renovated subacute rehab unit features "activities of daily living" (ADL) suites complete with bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom, and a 2,300 square-foot state-of-the-art rehab gym.
Patients at The Brentwood can receive physical, speech, and occupational therapy daily. The center also accepts 24-hour admissions directly from the ER.
